It’s an amazing scene.
Sophy says: OMG YES. The way she knew right away that this was serious and she didn’t hesitate to help Effy… made all the more poignant by the fact that she was the first person Effy’s illness hurt. Epic

I can never resist it, NEVER! It parallels last Freddie ep when Karen was upset at losing and Freddie comforts her and kisses her head. Now it’s Karens turn to comfort Freddie…JUST GUH!
Sophy says: I loved this moment. It kind of redeemed Karen for me. Because honestly, in Freddie’s ep in S3… the girl was kind of awful. I have issues with selling out your dead mum for ass2ass. But at least now we know she cares, and the look on her face in that last cap is just lovely. Also, jfc they’re pretty siblings.
Rin says: This show, honestly, it just feeds my soul, visually. The way her arms are like, plonked heavily…weighted.. palms up. I don’t know, but I love it.

Rin says: It’s a pity you can’t really see the tears rolling down Freddies face at this size..but it’s there and it’s pretty real. I don’t know what all of these kids took over the break, but they’ve all greatly improved and I feel like a proud mother hen watching them all just own their characters and really take this generation to awesome new heights.
Sophy says: Agreed. The show as a whole has just raised it a million compared to S3. See what I did thar. omg.

/ April 19, 2010NICE! You guys are funny! Skins, I am ridiculously obsessed. Freddie is character I had the hardest time with, I mean seriously, he’s a beautiful boy, but the “fun-sponge” thing really sums him up perfectly. Also, I HATED his first appearance, when he’s finish skating down the hill and he goes “Fuckers” all I could think was “YOU ABSOLUTE KNOB! This is more cringe-worthy than having your dad tell you your virginity is a delicate flower and if you let lots of different boys poke at it it will wither and die and smell-bad!! Don’t act all cool when you clearly belong in loserville!” However, he did improve A LOT in this ep, all that holding Effy, but still. A little bit of me was kind of glad when he was bashed to death, because it meant I could, I don’t know, love him like I love the others (thats right, I’m a machiavellian sociopath, but guess what, I think the two of you are funny and I like you, so what does that say about you, huh, huh??) Ok I’m off to read JJ’s recap, which was my favourite episode this season after Katies, however, I get the feeling I may lose this new infatuation with the two of you afterwards….
