Rin says: This is perhaps one of the best things Glee has ever done. apart from pretty/unpretty. I absolutely adore the stage production of Wicked, and when Rachel and Kurt first sung Defying Gravity that was already all 
homfg. But the fact they were ON THE ACTUAL STAGE was simply magical. Plus I love what it did for Rachel and Kurt, their friendship and also having Kurt be the one to encourage Rachel to follow her dream.
Plus when Lea goes up to that note on ‘more’ … chills. I got chills. I’m just amazed at how after everything she’s sung on this show, she can still surprise you with just how freaking great her voice is.
Sophy says: Not gonna lie, I kind of had tears in my eyes watching this. The friendship between these two is one of the best things the show has done, and both Lea and Chris are such glorious performers – as well as sounding gorgeous together, they also conveyed all the tingly emotion of two kids standing at the foot of a big dream. This scene is all about what the show is all about for me: friendship and fierce ambition, and how at the end of the day, maybe one can fuel the other.
AND HUGS. Glee is about hugs.

I really did appreciate this moment of genuine friendship between Quinn and Santana. They’ve taken their time in humanizing these two, particularly Santana, but they seem to be on the right track now. More of this in season 3, please.

Rin says: OKAY. WHEN I FIRST WATCHED THIS I WAS COMPLETELY HORRIFIED. AND THEN WHEN IT CAME TIME TO RECAP IT I LAUGHED AND LAUGHED AND LAUGHED. BECAUSE IT’S RYAN FROM SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. And I hate her so much you guys. I find her a bit repulsive. 
It all made sense.
No, but really. It’s just generally unsettling to have girls spreading their legs so far and doing those awkward dance moves in REALLY SHORT DRESSES. Like. WHY?! 
I’m glad Will agrees with us.
Sophy says: Will does look rather perturbed. And I think I may actually have blocked this out of my mind cos it was that gross. Did not want reminder.
But I’d also like to say a big ‘No’ to the entire time Sunshine Corazon was on screen. Not because I dislike Sunshine, necessarily, but because WHO CARES? Honestly, did anyone ever really feel like Rachel’s little episode with Sunshine was some kind of core building block in her overall coming of age? The whole cathartic apology scene felt forced and out of nowhere, and I resented watching a whole number of Sunshine singing when there was so little time to deal with the characters we know and love.
OH AND. A quick no to the shameful under-use of Jesse St James and the bullshit ‘Back to Finchel’ ending. Enough, already. We all ship Rachel/Broadway stage. Deal with it.
Rin says: Oh yeah. Sunshine was a waste. And agreed about Finchel, because they pretty much went back on all the awesome Rachel progression. Also I totally ship Rachel/Broadway if Broadway is the code name for Quinn.

That being said I haven’t watched this episode. Glee makes me so angry sometimes. It’s so inconsistent… I guess that’s what happens when you’re really into Skins. It ruins other shows that aren’t this good. Of course, they paint Quinn’s hair pink and I’m like, OMG this looks awesome! I’m such a sucker for awesome punk girls. I know I’ll be disappointed, but still I hope?
Oh, and a bit of awesomeness with a strong touch of WTF?: I’ve moved into a flat in Bucharest to study .. uhm.. English Lit and Japanese I guess, and it seems that my neighborhood is filled with Skins graffiti. There’s Skins everywhere. I think it’s a gang or something, but seeing SKINS painted everywhere I go is so.. surreal. O.O

Don’t know if you guys have been reading, but they’re adding new writers to the staff so it’s not just Ryan, Ian and Brad and all their crazy. It’s got MARTI NOXON who wrote some of the BEST BUFFY EPISODES, for one. Also, they said that there’s going to be less of a constant parade of tribute episodes and guest stars, and more “back to basics”, so, basically ACTUALLY STORYLINES and not just a bunch of episodes that have almost nothing to do with each other. Yay!
And I’ve been hearing awesome things about Quinn’s character development. YAY!
ALSO OMG THANK YOU FOR AGREEING ABOUT the Yeah song, seriously what the fuck was up with that dancing. It was like they were doing a hip-hop funky chicken.

/ September 15, 20114×19 is my favourite Buffy episode EVER. I’ll never not be grateful to Marti. Even though I just learned that she also wrote Bad Eggs.
As for the episode, I stopped liking Glee when it became the Kurt show and everybody else was just pushed to the sidelines. I stayed for Rachel because she’s the only character that I like and Lea Michele is awesome. It was great to see her in New York, I’ve genuinely felt happy for her and that’s something Glee has never done for me. I also usually skip every scene Kurt is in but I didn’t FF for good and I’m glad I didn’t. Everything else though? Quite a disappointment.
I ship Finchel and I like Finn a lot. I know it’s unpopular but I really don’t understand the hate. I’m glad they’re back together, even if it’s just for a year. I know eventually Rachel will either leave him for Broadway or making him go with him, but they could be a great couple if only the writers would stop screwing him.
Quinn’s storyline was totally pointless, so was Jess’ return (even though I loved seeing him again) and Charice’s.
